Azerbaijani Transport Ministry Submits New Program on Construction of Bridges and Crossings in Baku

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S. Aliyev / The Azerbaijani Transport Ministry has submitted to the government additional plans of actions concerning the construction of new bridges and crossings in Baku for 2008 and 2010.

T-bills will be developed after the agreement on the document by Ministries and other bodies of the country, and later construction will be commenced, Sadraddin Mammadov, the head of the Economy and Transport Policy Department at the Transport Ministry of Azerbaijan, said.

The framework of the plan envisages the construction of eleven bridges, ten crossings and thirteen multi-storey parking lots. The fee of the project will be defined after the development of the T-bills.

Some AZN 150mln has been spent for construction of bridges and crossings from 2006 to 2007. And since then five more bridges and five more crossings have been commissioned.
