Consumer Prices Exceeds 16% in Azerbaijan in October

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. I.Khalilova / The growth rate on consumer trades and tariffs on services made up 1.9% in October as compared to September, The Azerbaijani State Statistic Committee reported.

Consumer foodstuffs prices increased by 2.9% in October, non-foodstuffs by 0.6% and tariffs on services by 0.3%.

The growth rate of inflation made up 16.1% from January to October 2007 compared to mentioned period. Foodstuffs prices increased by 15.4%, non-foodstuffs by 10.3% and tariffs on services by 24.8%.

Meanwhile, the foodstuffs prices increased by 16.6% in October 2007 compared to the mentioned period in 2006, non-foodstuff by 10.1% and services by 26.7%.
