More than 600,000 New Workplaces Created in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Lenkoran /corr. Trend P.Aliyeva / More than 610,000 new jobs, 432,000 permanent, have been created since the beginning of the realization of the programs on social-economic development of Azerbaijan regions, said a representative of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economic Development, Sahib Mammadov.

Most of the new jobs fall to the regions. The number of organizations opened in this period made up 19,400, with 8,000 or a 40.5% share to the regions.

More than 59,000, 36,000 permanent new workplaces have been created in Azerbaijan's district of Lankaran.

Over this period, the Azerbaijani National Fund for Entrepreneurship Development allocated AZN 2.3mln to finance more than 5,800 projects in the country and as a result, more 54,000 new jobs have been created. Some 90% of the financed projects and 81% of new jobs fall to the regions.

AZN 14.8mln loans have been issued to 487 entrepreneurs in Lankaran.
