Hundred of Drivers from South Caucasus Cannot Leave Ilichevsk

Ukraine, Kiev / Trend corr. Z.Novosvitski / Hundred of drivers from Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia were stuck in the Ilichevsk ferry passage and have been waiting to transfer to their countries for three weeks, the Ukrainian channel NTN reported.

Lorry drivers coming from Europe cannot leave Ilichevsk passage from 1 November as the Gracevald passage is under re-construction.

"I have not seen anything like that. There were delays for five or six days before, but never from ten days to month, Elegize Yakobidze, a driver said.

Earlier the shipping company which dispatches ferries from Ilichevsk to Poti told about the re-construction. However, the drivers said they were not told.
