Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / The high economic growth in Azerbaijan positively affected the tax payments, said the Chief of the Head Department for State Registration of the Commercial Legal Entities and Economic Analysis, Zaur Fatizade, at the meeting of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Taxes dedicated to the results of 2007. According to him, the forecasts for the tax incomes were implemented at 106.7% in 2007. The incomes totaled AZN 4253.4mln compared to forecasts of AZN 4540mln, an increase of AZN 1825.3mln or 67.2% from 2006.
Azerbaijan's Minister of Taxes, Fazil Mammadov, provided brief information on the implementation of obligations by the tax organizations in 2007. According to him, in addition to successes (realization of the State Tax Administration Improvement Program, beginning of receiving of online declarations), there are several shortages, which should be liquidated in 2008.
As a result of the meeting, 2008 plan of measures was adopted within the order and recommendations of Azerbaijan President, Ilham Aliyev, regarding 'single window' principle.
