New Citroen C8 Facelift Revealed

( Worldcarfans ) - One of the options for the Citroen C-reveal from last Wednesday, which turned out to be the Citroen Berlingo, was the new facelifted C8 MPV. Two days after the hyped-up Berlingo reveal comes the quiet C8 facelift revealing.

The restyled Citroen C8 is ready for dealerships by early 2008 and will feature new styling and the new Hdi diesel engine (also found in the C5 and C6) producing 173 bhp (125 kW) and 273 lb/ft of torque at 1,500 rpm with DPFS (particulate filter) and will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Later in 2008 some countries will also have the option of a six-speed automatic transmission.

The styling features new and enlarged chevron motifs in the center of tauter radiator grille lines, small chrome bars, more pronounced grille rim, chrome door handles, painted body protectors and translucent reversing light. Inside more chrome finished on the door handles, gear lever and air vent cursors while the door wood trims, steering wheel, carpet, mats and upper dashboard arch are now painted black contrasted with softer colours on the stowage compartments and air vent thumbwheels.

The C8 has a 2.82 meter wheelbase and can hold from 225 litres to 2,948 litres of cargo, or hold up to 8 people in three rows. Please read the attached press release for further details.
