Kazakhstan, Astana, 4 February / Тrend corr. K. Konirova / Kazakhstan's national company KazMunayGaz increased oil production in 2007, the company reported.
The total volume of oil and condensate production comprised 16.7mln tons, an increase of 29.5% from 2006. Such a considerable increase was caused by purchasing and consolidating the assets of KazMunayGaz and PetroKazakhstan in 2007.
In 2007, oil refining amounted to 5.7mln tons, an increase of 53% from 2006. The increase was caused by purchasing stocks in the Shimkent oil refining plant.
Transportation of oil via main oil pipelines increased by 8.6%. Oil pumping via KazTransOil system on the consolidated basis exceeded 50.8mln tons.
