Azerbaijan, Baku, 14 March / Trend corr I. Khalilova/ By 1 Jan 2008, the Azerbaijani Government concluded 109 credit agreements in the sum of $4.991bln, and implementation of 53 of them in the amount of $2bln has been completed, according to the Governmental report on social and economic development of Azerbaijan for 2007, which was presented at the Parliament on 14 March.
In 2007, the Azerbaijani Government concluded 8 credit agreements in the sum of $767.2mln for financing of the different projects on special economic importance.
The credit agreements signed with different international fiscal institutions in 2007 are:
- two credits from the World Bank in the sum of $260mln;
- one credit from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in the sum of $92mln;
- one credit from the Islamic Development Bank in the sum of $80mln;
- one credit from the German Government in the sum of $42mln;
- one credit from Korea's Shinhan in the sum of $180mln;
- one credits from ABN Amro Bank in the sum of $100.2mln;
- one credit from the Saudi Development Fund in the sum of $13mln.
In 2007, the Azerbaijan's state foreign debt rose to $2.4bln from $2bln in 2006.
