Azerbaijan, Baku, 16 April /corr. Trend I.Khalilova / In the first quarter, the industrial production and services in Azerbaijan increased by 12.9% and made up AZN 7 051.9mln, according to the State Statistics Committee. The volume of the industrial production and services in the non-oil sector increased by 14.7% and in oil sector - 12.5%.
For the reported period, the growth rate in the extractive industry was 13.4% and made up AZN 5 488.5mln with specific weight of 77.8% in the industrial production. The growth rates in the processing industry made was 11.4% and totaled AZN 1 212.6mln (17.2%), and power industry, gas and water sectors - AZN 350.8mln with 4% growth.
The oil production growth made up 12.4%, gas production - 85.3% and oil refinery - 4.6%.
During this period, rise was observed in the production of machine and equipment by 11%, metallurgy industry and ready products from metal by 43.3%, production of wood and wooden wares by 50.8%, foodstuffs by 8.8% and chemical industry by 3.8 times.
In Jan, the specific weight of the industrial products, produced in the private sector, made up 81.9% (AZN 5 773mln). The growth in the private sector made up 15.2% and Public sector -3.6%.
