Azerbaijan, Baku, 29 April/ Trend / The Baki Soveti subway, located in the center of the city, has been renamed into Icheri Sheher (Inner City) by the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan. The decree took effect on 25th April.
Baku City Administration and Baku Metro have been instructed to solve the issues arising from the decree.
Baku Metro has been functioning since November 1967. The subway accepts up to 30,000 passengers a day. The reconstructed Baki Soveti subway will become operational in autumn.
