Azerbaijan, Baku, 2 May / Trend corr. I.Khalilova / The International Monitory Fund (IMF) forecasts the inflation to reach 20% in Azerbaijan in the World Economic Outlook, as stated in the report. The same will be observed in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine and Tajikistan.
According to the author of the report, the index of consumer prices made up 19.5% in the end of 2007, 19.6% is expected in 2008, 20.5% - in 2009 and 19% - in 2013.
The Azerbaijani government forecasts the inflation rate at 12% or 14%, and the figure may be changed as a result of re-consideration of macroeconomics forecasts for 2008, which the Ministry of Economic Development is planning to implement on ground of the results of social and economic development in the country in early year.
