2 CIS Councils to Sign Agreement in Baku

Azerbaijan, Baku, 26 June / corr Trend E.Ismayilov / An agreement on cooperation between the intergovernmental transporters council and the automobile transport council of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries was signed in Baku at end of the first joint meeting of these organizations which commenced on 25 June, Bura Karimov, the head of Secretariat of the intergovernmental transporters council, said.

During the 2-day meeting it is planned to mull over priority directions of cooperation of CIS countries in the sphere of transport; development of an intergovernmental standard on road oil bitumen, changes to existing Agreement on mass and overall dimensions of transport mean implementing international deliveries via automobile road of CIS member-countries, functioning of international certificate of weighting trucks in CIS territory.

"Along with heads of delegations, transport ministers, deputy ministers, first deputy ministers, heads of road administrations, around 100 specialists will attend the forum to discuss jointly with your specialists vital problems related to transport," Karimov said.
