Azerbaijan, Baku, 28 June / Trend / As for 23 June, the grain production made up 748,400 tons from 290,000 hectares, which is 323,200 tons more compared to 2007, official press reported referring to Aslan Aslanov, Deputy Agriculture Minister
This index makes up 34% of a total harvest area. The harvest totaled 25.7 centners per hectare.
Azerbaijani Agriculture Ministry forecasts 2.3mln tons of grain production in 2008. The yearly grain demand is 3mln tons with 1.5mln tons of bread-grain.
