Inflation Ratio Reaches 1% in Ukraine in June
Ukraine, Kiev, 8 July / corr. Trend Z.Novosvitskiy / The growth pace of inflation ratio was 0.8% in Ukraine in June as compared to May and 29.3% as compared to June 2007, the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine reported.
According to the State Committee, the growth of consumer prices amounted to 15.5% since the beginning of 2008 (for January-June 2008 (compared with December 2007)). Consumer price index increased by 26.4% in January to June 2008 as compared to the same period of 2007.
Food prices rose by 0.6% in June. Most of all, prices of the following products rose in June: bread and rolls by 3.1%, meat and meat products by 1.4%, fish and fish products by 2.2%, potatoes by 26.2%, animal fat by 4.1%, confectionary by 1.9%, alcohol-free drinks by 1.6%.
Inflation ratio made 16.6% in Ukraine in 2007, 11.6% in 2006, 10.3% in 2005.
