Situation in Georgia Not Affects on AZAL Revenues: AZAL Head

Azerbaijan, Baku, 2 September / Trend corr.E.Ismayilov / The Georgian-Ossetia conflict did not affect the revenues of the AZAL CJSC, Cahangir Askarov, Head of the CJSC, said.

"We suspended flights to Georgia for five or six days. We resumed flights as soon as the problems are settled," Askarov said.

Georgia prevented flights to Tbilisi due to unsafe situation in the country. "Interruption in flights did not affect on AZAL as it makes up 3% of organization's total revenues," Askarov said.

The Georgian-Ossetia conflict started on 8 August. All flights from Baku to Tbilisi were suspended due to the conflict. The flights were resumed on 17 August.
