Trend A.Badalova / "Kazakhstan and Russia shift to a new stage of innovation development of bilateral relations of the two countries," the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, said at 5th forum of heads of border regions of Russia and Kazakhstan on 22 September, which was broadcasted in the direct ether of Vesti television.
He highlighted the priority in the development of high-technology development.
Nazarbayev said that the geography of Kazakhstan-Russian co-operation expands.
"The common task of the countries became
the transformation of Kazakhstan-Russian borders into the borders of friendly
relations, mutually advantageous co-operation and confidence. The next stage is
to ensure a qualitative jerk of two states into the innovation development," he
emphasized.
According to him, trade turnover between two countries grew by four times.
"An increase in the trade turnover occurs due to global crises, while other
countries suffer difficulties from the economic crises. The economy of our
states is stable," said Nazarbayev.
