Azerbaijan, Baku, 24 October / Trend corr. U.Ismayilova/ The Chief State Veterinary Inspectorate at the Azerbaijani Agriculture Ministry banned import of pork from the Stavropol Krai of Russia, the office said on 24 October.
The decision resulted from revelation of African Plague amongst pigs bred in the Stavropol Krai, which caused mass loss of animals.
Import of animal products and forage was also banned.
The State Inspectorate accurately operates the check-points so that to prevent the African Plague from entering Azerbaijan.
The epizootic situation with the African Plague is stable in the country, State Veterinary Inspectorate said.
