Azerbaijan, Baku, 18 November / corr. Trend E.Ismayilov / "100 new "Bogdan" branded public buses of Ukrainian production will be delivered to Baku till the end of 2008", Boris Klimchuk, Ukrainian ambassador to Azerbaijan, said on November 18.

"170 buses have already been delivered to Baku and we are waiting for additional 100 buses to come by the end of the year", the ambassador said.

He said that the Azerbaijani Transport Ministry gave green to "Bogdan" to function in the routes and territories where they are rational in.

A presentation of 37 new buses -31 branded Daewoo and six branded MAN (Germany), was held on 10 October. These buses have been put into exploitation. Earlier the Ministry of Transportation had received 60 new public buses - 40 branded MAN and 20 MAZ (Belarus), which have also been commissioned.

The demand on large size buses is connected with the ban of the Ministry of Transportation on driving mini buses in the central streets of Baku. Mini buses can be used in alternative routes and roads.

Traffic of these buses in the outskirts and in the center of Baku is permitted temporarily.
