Turkmenistan 2008 state budget revenues up 2.2 times

Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, Jan. 16 / Trend , E.Hasanov/ Turkmenistan's state budget revenues have amounted to 10.1 billion denominated manats (117.2 percent), expenditures - 5.4 billion manats (62.5 percent), or 2.2 times and 1.5 times more than in 2007, the Turkmenistan Economy Ministry reported.

Full salaries, pensions, allowances and scholarships were paid off in time. There are no arrears on these payments resulting from 2008.

Compared to 2007, social financing expenditures dramatically increased in 2008 - 30 percent. Pension and state benefit expenditures rose by 31.8 percent, education - 25.4 percent, health care - 25 percent, culture - 42.9 percent.
