Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 4 / Trend , N.Ismayilova, E.Ismayilov/
The number of
Baku-Minsk-Baku flights will be increased to four per week in summer and two per
week in winter, Belarusian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Nikolai Patskevich said at
a news conference on Feb. 4.
The reason for the increase in the number of flights is a rise in number of
passengers and interest in these flights. The diplomat did not specify the time
to increase frequency of flights.
"Belarus [Belavia - Belarusian Airlines] and Azerbaijan [AZAL - Azerbaijan
Airlines] are negotiating to increase the number of flights. There is no doubt
that the number will be increased," said Patskevich.
The Baku-Minsk-Baku flight is operated only on Thursdays by AZAL and Belavia,
AZAL said on Feb. 4. AZAL operates flights at 09:00 and Belavia - at 04:05 in Baku time.
A one-way ticket costs 251 manat and a return ticket costs 365 manat.
"Interest in these flights is certainly growing. Airliners are always full," said Patskevich.
