The CASCO insurance reached 3,120 in Azerbaijan in 2008, out of which 3,030 accounted for Baku, The Financial and economic Research and Consulting company reported.

The rest 97 insurance cases took place in Ganja City - 11, Sumgayit - 12, Khirdalan - 10, Lankaran - five, on the Baku-Shamakha road- seven, Baku-Guba - six, Baku-Kazakh - five and other regions.

The CASCO insurance resulted from collision of automobiles (2,080), collision with traffic barriers (591), due to damage (86), turning of automobiles (45) collision with animals (20) and fall in holes (17). The rest 280 CASCO insurance resulted from other factors.
The most of traffic accidents 2,250 (89 percent) caused by men drivers and 269 (11 percent) by women.
In 2008, 598 facts of auto-hooliganism were registered in Azerbaijan.
