Uzbekistan, Tashkent, Feb. 19/ Trend T. Zhukov/ The delegation of manufacturers and entrepreneurs of Russia's Ural region visited Uzbekistan, the Uzbek Trade-Industrial Chamber said.
The delegation comprises representatives of Ural seven big companies dealing with machine-building, energy, woodworking, production of modern equipment for educational institutions and road-building.
The Uzbek-Russian business-forum organized by the Uzbek Trade-Industrial Chamber was held in Tashkent on Feb. 19 as a part of the visit.
As a result of 2008, the trade turnover between the Ural region of the Russian Federation and Uzbekistan totaled $245 million, Yuri Matushkin, president of the Ural Trade-Industrial Chamber, told Trend .
Fruit and vegetable production, machine-building products, car transport, thread, rubber, shoes and other goods from Uzbekistan are in demand on the Ural market.
Members of the Ural delegation also visited some industrial facilities and big companies as a part of the visit to Uzbekistan.
