The state program on anti-crisis measures will have a positive impact on business activity in the country, Azerbaijani Confederation of Entrepreneurs Chairman Alakbar Mammadov said.
"It is too early to say how it will impact the economy. But the fact that the program is being developed is progress nonetheless," he said.
The confederation introduced proposals to the government to avoid the impact of the global financial crisis. The proposals call for raising funds allocated to entrepreneurs from the National Assistance Fund from 120 million manat to one billion manat.
The confederation also suggested cutting energy sources by 50 percent to reduce production costs.
A number of issues will be clarified during the discussions of the draft program, he said.
