Insurance premiums of the Azerbaijani Ata Sigorta insurance company hit 1,037 million in the first quarter of 2009. This represents increase by 19.3 percent compared to the same period in 2008.
Company's payments on insurance cases totaled 120,700 manat, which is less 25.3 percent compared to previous year. Some 361,700 manat accounted for medical insurance, 350,600manat - for vehicle insurance, 117,200 manat - for fire and other risks insurance, 89,300 manat -for compulsory fire insurance, 35,600 manat - for accident insurance and others.
Most of insurance payments accounted for vehicles 113,800 manat.
The Ata Sigorta is operating on the Azerbaijani insurance market since September 2004. Company's paid authorized capital is 2 million manat. The Ata Holding is the founder of the company.
