Azerbaijani bank reshuffles management board

As part of its development plans and ongoing restructuring, Amrahbank revamps its management by appointing Emil Mammadov as the new Chairman and other members of the management board, the bank said. Emil Mammadov has been appointed new chairman of Amrahbank board.

Mammadov has over 10 years of experience in the banking sector. He is a graduate of the State Economic University and has an MBA from the Manchester Business School, UK.  Before joining Amrahbank, Emil worked at Nikoil Bank for 7 years, lately as the deputy CEO and held various posts at the International Bank of Azerbaijan prior to that.

Furthermore, Heydar Mirzayev, former retail director of Unibank, joined Amrahbank as a member of the management board to lead the front office departments and Guldana Aslanova, former head of operational supervision of Nikoil Bank, as the Chief Risk Officer of Amrahbank.

In addition, our new Human Resources strategy envisages intensive training programs to ensure Amrahbank's growth plans are sustainable. Moreover with the assistance of IIB, Amrahbank staff will be seconded to overseas banks to deepen their expertise" said Yunis Ildirimzade, Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
