Azerbaijan and Poland sign program on further development of economic relations

The third meeting of Azerbaijan-Poland intergovernmental commission took place in Warsaw on May 13-15, as a result of which was signed a program for further development of interstate relations, said the press release by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Poland.

The delegations, headed by the Minister of Industry and Energy of Azerbaijan Natik Aliyev, and the Deputy Prime Minister of Poland, Minister of Economy Woldemar Pavlakin, discussed the possibilities of expanding economic and cultural relations between the two countries.

In addition, a workshop was held for Polish business people willing to establish business relations with Azerbaijan.

As a result of the meeting was drawn up and signed a program, which reflects the dynamic of development of relations between the countries over the next few years.

Polish President Lech Kaczynski, Marshal of the Senate of Poland Bogdan Borusewicz and other officials of the country received Natik Aliyev and the Azerbaijani delegation.

The third meeting of Azerbaijan-Poland intergovernmental commission decided to hold the next (fourth) meeting in Baku.

Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Poland last year amounted to $31.59 million.
