According to preliminary estimates, disease symptoms of five members of the family in the Naharli village of Azerbaijan's Saatli region do not indicate presence of A(H1N1) virus, Deputy Chief of the Republican Antiplague Station Shair Gurbanov said on May 25.
"They have been hospitalized and their state is satisfactory. Their temperature has dropped. Their state is being normalized. And their diagnosis is enterocolitis [inflammation of large and small intestine]", Gurbanov said.
Gurbanov said a 77-year-old Algulshad Gasimov, 72-year-old Bilka Gasimova, 52-year-old Akif Gasimov and his wife, 47-year-old Peri Gasimova experienced moderate temperature, nausea. Another member of the family - Shahin Gasimov later died of epilepsy.
Gurbanov said that the sampled tests of the patients have been taken to laboratory tests due to preventive measures and the results of which will be known within two days.
