Assets of Azerbaijani Bank Respublika up over than 30%

As of June 1, 2009, assets of the Azerbaijani Bank Respublika hit 389.8 million manat, and increased by 32.1 percent compared to the same period of 2008 (295.1 million manat in June 1, 2008).

Bank's portfolio totaled 238.3 million manat with a growth of 12.4 percent compared to the mentioned period of last year.

Deposits of clients of Bank Respublika exceeded 151.1 million manat through increase of 14 percent as of June 1, 2009. Deposits by individuals increased by 12.1 percent compared to 89.6 percent of 2008. Deposits by population increased by 21 percent exceeding 75 million manat compared to 62.1 million manat of the same period of last year.

As of January-May 2009, incomes of Bank Respublika hit 26.6 million manat and expenditures - 18.9 million manat. Bank's balanced income reached 7.7 million manat.

Bank Respublika celebrated 17th anniversary on May 22. Last week, bank opened two branches in the Masalli and Jalilabad cities.

Bank Respublika was founded in Azerbaijan in 1992. Shareholders of the Bank are two major financial institutions of Germany - DEG, member of the banking group KfW, and SIDT, member of Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe, with shareholding in the amount of 25 percent + one share. As of June 1, 2009, the aggregate capital of Bank Respublika was 56.6 million manat, with capital of 22.6 million manats. There are 32 branches and offices of Bank Respublika in Baku and regions of the country.

On June 10, the official exchange rate is 0.8037 manat to $1.
