CIS countries intend to fight А/H1N1 flu (pig flu), CIS executive committee said. Decision on preventive actions against virus in the territory of CIS was signed at the meeting in Moscow on June 9.
The meeting was held with participation of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Uzbekistan, Armenia, CIS executive committee, as well as heads of leading Russian scientific-research organizations dealing with study of flu.
Russia supports efforts to increase potential of flu counteraction in CIS. Readiness of Russia for assisting to nations is welcomed in case of extraordinary situations in CIS using mobile anti epidemic actions of Russian consumer control.
CIS countries decided to exchange information about А/H1N1 virus among population, results of monitoring of pathogen circulation and results of estimation of preventive actions and clinic effectiveness of anti virus medication.
According to world health organization, roughly 26,563 people from 73 world countries had А/H1N1 virus as of early June.
Roughly 140 people died. Virus was registered in Mexico, the USA, Canada, Spain, Great Britain and Japan.
Imported cases of А/H1N1 flu were registered in CIS countries today.
