Auctions and competitions on sale of municipal lands to be held in Azerbaijan on June 16, Azerbaijani State Committee for Land and Cartography head Garib Mammadov said on June 13.
"Over 40 bids were made both for rent and purchase of land in different regions. Potential customers making bids for participation in auction will examine territories on June 14, Mammadov said.
Four auctions will be held in Khirdalan, one in Naftalan, seven in Yevlakh, two in Saatli, one in Imishli, two in Gakh, five in Mingechevir, five in Geranboy, two in Jalilabad, four in Khachmaz, five in Tovuz, the state committee said.
The first two auctions were held in the Apsheron peninsula in March. Other eight competitions on sale of municipal land were held in May.
Municipal lands will be sold via auctions upon the Azerbaijani President's decree dated December 10, 2008. The State Committee for Land and Cartography is charged with their conducting.
Earlier corresponding municipalities had these privileges.
The contract is concluded with winner not later than 20 days.
