Azerbaijani Central Bank prepares proposals to develop cashless operations in Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijani Central Bank operates to remove lack of cash in cash-machines and development of cashless operations in the country. A package of proposals was submitted to the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers on this regards, the first deputy chairman of the Central Bank's board Alim Guliyev said.

"The Central Bank constantly controls creation of opportunities for pensioners not to pay additionally while using cash-machines of authorized banks on pension payments granting in separate regions in accordance with sliding schedule on uninterrupted work of cash-machines in regions of the country and their energy supply," Guliyev said. 

Other banks were also drawn to conduct these payments to expand services while distributing pensions and grants. Meetings with responsible employees organizing these services are held in the Central Bank to remove possible problems.  

The Central Bank constantly conducts monitoring of special regime and holds certain meetings after analyses of received results to control state of cash-machines and provide them with money. 

Presently, the Central Bank deals with removing of these problems by popularization of cashless payments among population and transformation of cards in major payment in daily money operations.

Number of social payment cards for giving wages, pensions, scholarships and other social payments reached 3.7 million pieces.
