Azerbaijan, Baku, June 19 / Trend , N. Ismayilova/

Law on Protection of Intellectual Property and Fight against Piracy is expected to be adopted in Azerbaijan, Copyright Agency Chairman Kamran Imanov said.

"The legislative act will first of all reflect court measures that are necessary to prevent abuse of right to intellectual property," Imanov said.

He said the law also envisages practical mechanism. While being supplied to the market, intellectual products must be marked with a special hologram which will differentiate it from false products.

"A center to protect intellectual property rights and fight piracy will be launched via public funds," Imanov said.

He said preparation work is underway to launch the center.

"The bill can be ratified by parliament this year as visas have already been received from all ministries," he said.
