Azerbaijan, Baku, June 20 / Trend , U. Ismayilova/ Surveys have showed that cost of tourism services do not meet their quality, Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Ministry Tourism Department Head Aydin Ismiyev said in his interview with Khalg newspaper.
"Under legislation, the Tourism Ministry does not interfere with tariff policy of tourism facilities," Ismiyev said.
He said despite this the ministry is taking measures so that prices will meet quality of services.
He said the ministry is going to hold monitoring in the northern, northwestern, western and southern regions of the country to assess and verify the level of services provided, to study public service, respect for the rules of sanitation and hygiene and safety of tourists.
"Azerbaijan has effectively used all opportunities to ensure high-quality summer vocation of tourists," Ismiyev said.
