From July 14, Azerbaijan Association of Professional Risk Managers will start trainings on risk management for commercial banks in the country, the founder and head of the Association Rufat Mahmud said on June 20.
"The issue of risk management is a very important segment in the world, since it covers all spheres - social, economic and financial risks - said Mahmud. - In different countries, programs are prepared, standards of risk management are approved."
Today, the banking sector is the most advanced sector in Azerbaijan, for which it needs to create a single model of risk management, since the retail will not allow achieving success, says the head of the Association. In addition, it is necessary to develop standards to assess the risk of Azerbaijani banks. According to him, taking into account the needs for consulting services in risk management, Association of Risk Management was established.
Training of the Association will be organized jointly with the GARP (Global Association of Risk Professionals) in the Azeri language.
