New platform will be built to unload central streets of Tbilisi connecting Varaziskhevi with Tamarashvili Street. There will be forest park in Vere ravine from Tamarashvili Street to Square of Heroes.
Mayor of Tbilisi Gigi Ugulava laid foundation for construction of new platform in Mziuri city on July 27. He said that roughly 30.8 million lari of budget-2009 was allocated for construction of speed main line. He stressed that his project has ecological loading.
"Vere River is fully polluted and unsuitable for swimming. Realization of the project will completely change ecological situation. It will be road of future," he said.
Length of new main line will hit 2,800 meters. Five bridges will be built via Vere, as well as underground tunnel and over ground stage. Sakgza metsiniereba will implement project operations but Georgian-German Caucasus Road Project - construction operations.
Construction is planned to complete by late 2010.
