Azerbaijani State Social Protection Fund's income ups 20 percent per year

Income of the Azerbaijani State Social Protection Fund hits 759 million manat for the first six months exceeding similar period of 2008 for 19 percent, the fund said. 

Extended staff meeting was held to discuss results of activity in the first six months and future tasks, the fund said.  

Inpayments from obligatory state social insurance increased 25.3 percent within reporting period by hitting 490 million manat, 56.4 percent falls on off-budget organizations. Payments on social insurance of these organizations increased 16.6 percent.

"As of early 2009 level of inpayments and rest of funds in the fund's budget allowed timely financing pensions and grants," the message said.

As of initial information, as of the first six months, fund's expenses hit 825 million manat or 206 million manat (33.2 percent) more than the similar period of 2008.Roughly 97 percent (801 million manat) of these funds were directed for population's payments. This index is 33 percent (199 million manat) more than total index of the first six months of 2008.   

Fulfillment of actions for 2009 was also discussed at the meeting. These actions were envisaged by the State Pension Insurance Development Program in Azerbaijani over 2009-2015 and approved by the President's decree dated December 30, 2008.  

On August 3, the official exchange rate is 0.8042 manat to $1.
