In 2010, it is planned to produce 1.6 million tons of grain, including 450,000 tons in Akhal province, 380,000 in Mariy, 350,000 in Lebap, 300,000 tons in Dashoguz and 120,000 tons in Balakan, the Kazakh Agriculture Ministry said.
Recently, all regions launched the grain production. Sown area covered 860, 000 hectares, which was ploughed and fattened in time, the ministry added.
Seed base consists mostly of local wheat varieties, as well as importations from the Stavropol region of Russia, established in the local soil and climatic conditions.
At present, technology park of the agricultural sector has more than 10,000 arable tractors and tractor-cultivators, as well as more than 1,800 grain seeders. Recently they received 500 "Belarus-82.1" tractors of the Minsk Tractor Plant and 100 - "Belarus-80", Turkmen state news reported.
