International construction exhibition held in Ashgabat

Turkmenistan pays special attention to development of construction industry. It enables creation of additional jobs and increase of local builders' skills, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov told participants of branch Turkmengurlushik-2009 exhibition.

Organizers include the ministry of construction, the Turkmen ministry of industry and construction materials, Turkmen roads state concern and trade-industrial chamber.

"We planned great goals to ensure entire Turkmen population with convenient apartments. The program on construction of private dwelling and preferential mortgage loaning is widened. Turkmenistan must turn into a land of abundance and welfare for its citizens," the message said.  

About hundreds of foreign companies from more than 20 countries participated in the exhibition center. Most of them take leading positions on the world markets. They include Komatsu and Itochu (Japan), HOCHTIEF, Wirtgen and Novelis (Federative Republic of Germany), STRABAG (Austria), WYG (Great Britain), Capital Longji (China), VINCI (France), Polimeks, Sehil, Ekol (Turkey), Ammann Rusland (Russian Federation), etc.

One can see samples of various construction technique, handling, lifting-transport, assembly, measurement, and other special equipment, modular concrete and brick factories at the exhibition. The exhibition will last for three days. The exhibition will host an international scientific conference "Development of the Construction Industry of Turkmenistan. Business meetings are scheduled.

Large-scale projects promoted turning Turkmenistan into the gigantic construction site, including in Ashgabat.

"We will continue to develop our capital, turning it into one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Buildings and facilities existing in Ashgabat will be complemented with new facilities built with the most advanced engineering solutions, combining the most important developments in the ultramodern architectural technologies and the best traditions of national architecture," the message said.
