The State Grain Fund of Azerbaijan received nearly 716 tons of grain, head of the Board of Grains Fund at the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Zulfugar Mammedov, said in an interview placed in official press.
Though the country produced 2 million tons of grains, the farmers gave small volume of product to mills authorized by the fund.
"The capacity of authorized mills exceeds each 500 tons of grain a day," Mammedov said.
The fund calls the farmers to intensify grain handling to the mills and it is enough to submit sample of the produced wheat to relevant laboratory.
Mammedov said purchase of premium quality what will continue by Sep. 30. The fund will pay 180 manats for every ton of grain. The quality of grain will be determined in accordance with standards set by the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan.
"The capacity of each authorized storage of the fund is over 300 tons of grain in average and presently, the building of an additional storage with the capacity of 60,000 tons is underway," Mamedov said.
