The Azerbaijan Railways Closed Joint Stock Company (CJSC) has completed the dismantling of the electric railway line on the Zabrat II-Gala section in the Baku-Absheron direction, CJSC Press Secretary, Nadir Azmammadov said on Sept. 24.
"Dismantling of the railways has already finished and the road has been completely dismantled," he said.
Earlier Azmamadov said after the dismantling of the railway line, a highway will be built instead it. Work on dismantling began on Aug. 12.
The Zabrat II - Mashtaga - Baglar - Buzovna - Zugulba - Sahil - Mardakan - Gala single-lane railway line stretching for 30 kilometers was dismantled gradually. After the dismantling of the line, topside materials in the first place will be used during overhaul of the two-lane line Zazaly-Ganja, single-lane Heybat Bilajar and two-lane line Guzdek-home-Khyrdalan.
