Georgia, Tbilisi, Sept. 30 / Trend , N. Kirtzkhalia /

Georgia's s public budget for 2010 will be increased. This decision was taken at the cabinet meeting. A two-percent increase in Georgia's public budget is envisaged in the primary version of the draft. Georgian Finance Minister, Kakha Baindurashvili said it is now necessary to decrease the deficit to a logical target.

"We plan to reduce the deficit to two per cent, which, of course, is connected with expenses," he said. "But despite this, I emphasize that the revenues from taxes are not reduced, although sources of deficit financing decrease."

According to the minister, the 2010 public budget will amount to 6,400,000,000 lari ($1 = 1.68 lari).
