Road, rail transit of goods in 1st half rises
The amount of goods transited in the first half of the current Iranian calendar year (began March 21, 2009) increased surpassed 3.3 million tons, 5.4 percent increase compared to the same period the year before.
Of this amount, 81 percent was transported by road and 19 percent by railway, the Mehr News Agency reported on Monday.
The highest volume of the transits was carried out via Bandar Abbas border. Fuel, cotton, construction materials, household appliances, and vehicles were respectively the major transited items in the mentioned period.
