SUNIR wins Oman water pipeline tender

The Sultanate of Oman Public Authority for Electricity and Water (PAEW) announced that an Iranian company has won an international tender to construct a water pipeline in Al Jabal al Akhdar resort.

The Mehr News Agency reported that in a competition among 24 high merit companies from South Korea, China, Canada and Oman, the SUNIR firm from Iran obtained the contract.

Regarding Iran and Oman's will to expand economic relations and invest in water projects, this contract could be a launching pad for Iranian firms to have greater presence in that market.

The primary value of this contract is $76 million and the goal of the project is to transfer and develop the water network in the tourist resort town of Al Jabal al Akhdar.

The government of Oman plans to establish the best and most complete facilities in this region to attract tourists.

SUNIR is the largest Iranian group of companies active in the fields of water, oil and gas. SUNIR was established in 1994 and has been successfully active in consulting, engineering and constructing water and power projects in Iran and 14 other neighboring countries, Central Asia, Latin America and Africa.
