Tabriz Petrochemical Co. exports reach $41m

Tabriz Petrochemical Company has exported some 40,000 tons of petrochemicals, worth $41 million, in the 9-month period which ended December 21, 2009.

Sweden with 12,000 tons, Turkey with 11,000 tons, and Germany with 6,000 tons were the main destinations for the exported products, the Mehr News Agency reported.

The complex exported some 4,700 tons of polymer products worth $5.4 million in the Iranian month of Azar (Nov. 22-Dec. 21, 2009).  

The complex's export value increased 24 percent in terms of volume and 93 percent in terms of value compared to the same period last year.

In Azar month also some 25,000 tons of polymers and other petrochemicals, worth 364 billion rials (some $36.4 million), have been used in the downstream industries which shows a 42 percent jump compared to the previous year's figure.
