Caretaker of Khuzestan Water and Power Organization inaugurated the largest regulation and diversion dam near Andimeshk, southwest of Iran.
Mojtaba Razavi-Nabavi said that 7 other power plants are ready for commissioning, while 18 hydro-electric plants with 6,300 megawatt capacity are in hand in Khuzestan Province.
He added that of the new irrigation networks in Khuzestan 350,000 hectares are being studied, 250,000 hectares are being implemented and 400,000 are ready for operation.
The official said that the project cost $7 billion.
