Iranian Roads and Transportation Ministry plans to put 2,359 projects into operation during the Ten-Day Dawn (February 1-10, marking the 31st victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution).
The Mehr News Agency quoted Roads and Transportation Minister Hamid Behbahani as saying that 2,162 projects in road transportation sector worth around $2.175 billion, 121 projects in rail transportation sector valued at $1.25 billion plus 128.5 million euros are to be inaugurated.
Behbahani also noted that 32 projects in air transportation and aviation sectors worth some $300 million will come on stream during the ten-day period of time.
Some of the most important projects include building highways, arteries and rural roads, establishing railroads, renovating railway stations, improving flight control systems, and launching meteorological stations.
