Astana discussed the possibility of organizing automanufacture of well-known brand Toyota based on engineering plants in Kazakhstan, press secretary of Corporation for Export Development and Promotion KAZNEX Aizhan Rasheva said.

According to her, Shibata said that now the issue of opening an assembly plant in Kazakhstan for Toyota cars is under consideration.
"We study the logistics and scale of the plant, a partner in the public sector or private. The most important thing is the industry of auto parts," a representative of the company quoted by Aizhan Rasheva said.
According to her, another important issue raised during the meeting is the production of drugs from a root of licorice, which can be used in pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
Shibata said that Japan intends to consider the construction of a processing plant in Kazakhstan, and then to export drugs from this herb to Japan.
