President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Thomas Mirow at a meeting with the chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) Elman Rustamov expressed satisfaction with the level of relations. He stressed the need to continue the program on the growth, the CBA reported March 17. Thomas Mirow was in Baku within an official tour to the South Caucasus March 15 - 16.
The EBRD head also highly appreciates the organization's activity in financial and banking system.
During the meeting, discussions were held on the main priorities of macroeconomic policy in Azerbaijan in the post-crisis period, the tasks of the Central Bank to ensure the stability of the financial system and ways of using tactical instruments that are most effective in achieving the goals of CBA.
The prospects of future cooperation between EBRD and CBA were also discussed at the meeting.
