Iranian Commerce Minister Mehdi Ghazanfari and Australian Ambassador to Tehran Marc Innes-Brown discussed economic ties here on Sunday.
During the meeting the two officials reviewed the possible ways to boost the two-way trade, SHABA News Agency reported.
Iran exported some $46 million worth of goods to Australia in the previous Iranian calendar year (ended March 20, 2010) while imported some $202 million worth of goods.
Liquid propane, carpet, pistachio, liquid butane, and dates were the main exported items while wheat, Aluminum oxide, steel and iron products, and car spare parts were the major imported items.
