Implementation of state programs aimed to develop non-oil sector and diversify the economy of Azerbaijan, as well as develop entrepreneurship and improve business and investment climate has allowed to achieve a sustained and dynamic development in all spheres of national economy, Deputy Ministry of Economic Development
Niyazi Safarov said at the workshop "Development of Entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan and improvement of business education".
"As a result of the continuation of a successful strategy for socio-economic development in the first quarter of 2010, GDP increased by 5.4 percent, GDP per capita - by 4,2 percent, non-oil sector - 4.3 percent," Safarov said.
Representatives of relevant bodies of the Ministry of Economic Development, the State University of Economics and entrepreneurs who operate in Baku attended the workshop.
